Gluten Free Instant Pot Spaghetti just makes my tummy growl.
Creamy tomato sauce, tender noodles, Italian spices, and fresh veggies. This Instant Pot Spaghetti is nothing short of life changing!
I know that sounds like a little bit much, but I am here to tell you its not! The Instant Pot will do magical things to your traditional spaghetti dinner. This classic family meal will come together in minutes and is all done in ONE POT! All the moms raised their hands and did the dish dance!
Your Italian spaghetti sauce will explode with flavor, your meat sauce and veggies will be so tender, and your noodles will cook to perfection all in 9 minutes in your Instant Pot.
I love a one pot meal. There is a rule in my house that we have to eat greens at least once a day! I can sneak a whole pile of fresh spinach in this dish and no one notices one single bit!
This meal bursts with flavors. The Instant Pot just makes everything taste like it has been simmering all day long. My Gluten Free Instant Pot Spaghetti Dinner takes everyday simple pantry ingredients and turns them into a gourmet meal with little to no effort.
I serve this with a side of Roasted Garlic Butter Spread and my dinner is done!
Alright let’s get this Gluten Free Instant Pot Spaghetti dinner going!

Step by step instructions
- First slice your carrot and onions.
- Next turn your Instant Pot onto Saute Mode. Add your ground beef and onions and cook until the meat is done or almost done cooking. It can finish cooking when you cook your pasta.
- Add spices to your cooked onions and meat.
- Next add carrots and stir everything around. Then layer your pasta in a criss cross pattern.
- Finally you will add your pasta sauce of choice and water. Make sure the pasta is covered and has some liquid all around it.
- Finally, close the lid and turn the valve on top to sealing mode. Set the Instant Pot on Manual Pressure and adjust to 9 minutes. Once it beeps that it is finished cooking, turn valve to venting mode to release pressure. Once it is finished depressurizing, remove the lid. Stir your Gluten Free Instant Pot Spaghetti around. Add spinach and cream cheese. I like to add some Kite Hill dairy free cream cheese. You can add regular cream cheese. This will give you a nice and creamy sauce.
- Replace the lid for 3 minutes and let the spinach and cream cheese soften. Stir everything around and your dinner is done!
Tips for success
- You can add whatever veggies you would like to this dish. Substitute kale for the spinach if you like that better. You can also leave that out.
- I have tried this with a tomato cream sauce and a traditional tomato sauce and both are equally good.
- If you don’t have any cream cheese but still want a creamier sauce, you can add a little sour cream (1/2 cup) after it has finished cooking. This will still give you that creamy finish.
- I used dried herbs on this dish to save time, but fresh parsley, thyme, and oregano would be wonderful in this dish. Add a teaspoon of each if you have fresh herbs on hand.
- Make sure to use gluten free spaghetti noodles that have about the same cooking time as traditional noodles. I like to use this brand below. I find this in most grocery stores. Cooking times will vary if you buy a brand that requires a long cooking time.
How to cook spaghetti in the Instant Pot
I wanted to give you detailed instructions on how to cook gluten free spaghetti in your Instant Pot. You do need to know a few things so I thought this would be helpful. Ok let’s do this!
- After you have cooked your meat and onions, make sure to scrap up as much as you can. We do not want the Instant Pot to read an error message because it cannot get to pressure. The only time I see this happening is if you are using fat free or really low fat meats. If you are using a fat free meat, make sure you spray the bottom of your Instant Pot with a cooking spray.
- You need to lay your pasta in a criss cross pattern. This helps the pasta not become one big ball and stick together.
- Make sure to cover your spaghetti with sauce and water. The pasta will absorb the water. You will not be left with a runny dish, I promise. I will usually pat the pasta down lightly with a spatula to make sure it is all covered.
- When you remove the lid after cooking and IF you have some pasta that has stuck together, you can easily stir this around and the noodles will come apart.
- With Gluten Free Pasta, Manual pressure and 9 minutes seems to be the magic number.
I hope you have found all this helpful and tried my version of Gluten Free Instant Pot Spaghetti. If you have tried it, please leave me a comment and review down below.

- 2 1/2 cups Water
- 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

- Break your pasta in half and layer in a criss cross pattern. Add the pasta sauce and the water. Use a spatula to make sure and pat the pasta down so it is covered in the liquid.
- Place the lid on the Instant Pot and seal. Make sure the valve on the top of the lid is turned to the sealed position.
- Press the manuel button and adjust the time to 9 minutes. Once the Instant Pot gets to pressure, it will then start the timer. Once the Instant Pot beeps that it is finished, release the valve on the top of the lid to the venting position.
- Remove the lid. Stir the pasta around. Add the spinach and cream cheese. Stir again. Place the lid back on the Instant Pot for 3 minutes. This will wilt the spinach. Remove the lid and stir everything around. Serve warm.
